Lüderitz - Southern Africa's least explored basin?

Namibia is quickly becoming one of the hottest areas for exploration globally, following the announcement of the large Graff & Venus discoveries. But is the prospectivity limited to the Orange Basin in the south? Here we investigate the hugely under-explored Lüderitz Basin, sandwiched between the Walvis Basin to the north and the Orange Basin to the south.

What challenges face exploration in the Lüderitz Basin?

We also give an update on the ReconAfrica activity onshore Namibia in the Kavango Basin, with the drilling of the Makandina 8-2 well.
