1st Subsurface presented at the London Mediterranean, Middle East & Africa Scout Group meeting on 11th September. Mike Cooper delivered a presentation entitled: "The Missing Oil & Gas Reserves of Africa - An overview of the future development of hydrocarbons in Africa".
The presentation investigated where the "missing" oil and gas reserves of Africa are. These "missing" reserves are from countries not included in the BP Statistical Review 2019. While BP accounted for 4 Billion bbls and 42 Tcf across 40 'un-named' countries, 1st Subsurface showed ~200 Tcfe contingent resource in fields likely to be commercialised in the near to mid-term.
